Drew my nephew's name for Christmas. He is a teenage dbag and hard to buy for. My wife bought a watch for me to give him, but his mother said "No, he'll hate that." So, I've been rocking this watch since December.
Early in January he says to me "Woah! Cool watch, Uncle Buff!"...
Your mom snoozes, you loses.

Just bought this watch today. Will take a couple of weeks for delivery, very excited!
Any Baume & Mercier owners here? Thoughts on them?

B&Ms are well made and highly regarded. Their designs are what you would want in a classic dress watch. They're known enough that an aficionado will know the brand, but not known enough to draw unwanted attention.
without knowing the movement, I would say yours is probably a ETA 7750 or equivalent. Pretty good movement.

Lost my only watch (Citizen Eco-drive) on Saturday by accidentally leaving it on a table at Buffalo Wild Wings. It feels terrible not having it on my wrist. Does anybody know of an online retailer that might have this watch for cheapish, yet not a knockoff?
Here is the watch for reference:

Did you call Buffalo Wild Wings to see if they still have it? You never know.
Amazon isn't bad, I don't think I've ever seen a Citizen knockoff to be honest... For other websites, might have to ask the others or scroll a few pages back to take a look

Sorry about the loss. That's a really nice watch (although I'm a sucker for Citizens.)

Yeah, I called on Monday, then again on Tuesday. An employee said they had it on Tuesday, so I drove 45min over there to get it, then when I get there they say there was a mix-up and that the manager actually only said he had my contact info already (since I called Monday), not my watch
Last time I got it I went through Amazon, but it seems to be out of stock now.

If you're talking about getting an engraving done on the dial of a watch, I'd be curious how somebody would be able to take apart the watch and get that done without messing up the watches innards.
If you're talking about getting the back plate done, it'd be equally as interesting to me however I wouldn't trust a kid at the mall to do it in either instance, especially if there is a logo involved.
I'd call a good jeweller and see who they could recommend.

Although I've never heard of getting the dial engraved, It's not a huge deal. Once the stem is removed, the movement and dial come out very easily. Take off the hands with something like this and then possibly a side screw or two at the most to remove the dial. Most don't even require that second part though. It's actually quite easy and doesn't do anything negative to the movement at all.
As for the back...unless it's a Rolex, it's fairly easy to remove. I would probably trust most engraving places, like Things Engraved, to be able to engrave on the back of a watch.

Sorry to hear you lost it...however, I have this exact same watch (Stiletto), but with the white dial, if you're interested.
I bought it about 2-3 years ago with the intent of putting on a black strap and making it look like this:
I've just never really gotten around do it for some reason. I haven't even had the original strap resized, so its been basically unworn and sitting in my watch box the entire time.

Joe Joggia at Sears Southcentre. Probably, the best one in Calgary.

I'm not a fan of the chrono's personally...I find the face too busy. But I love B&M and am looking at a Classima. Beautiful timepieces.

I could be wrong, but I swear I saw that watch yesterday at Kavia Jewelery in Canmore. Asking price $375 IIRC. Black dial, silver colored band. If you want both white and black dial... here's an option? I might be wrong on price, but I swear I saw it in Canmore.

Try http://www.albertatimeservices.ca/
He was very good fixing my watch, and has been doing it for 40 years. I asked him about another watch I have, and he said "if I can't fix it, it can't be fixed". Not sure the truth there, but he seamed to know what he was doing.
