Writer/producer Harris Wittels died today of an overdose. He was in some of the episodes too.
He was such a funny guy. He created the "humble brag" Twitter account and was on a bunch of podcasts, including You Made It Weird where he talked about his addiction.
I'm really upset that he's gone.

Horribly sad. The show is just about over too. If I recall just a couple episodes left?
This feels awful. I love foam corner. It was my favourite part of Comedy Bang Bang. Never been this upset over a famous person dying before. I was just thinking yesterday that he had my favourite sense of humour.

I agree about the finale. I really liked how they wrapped it up. It was really sweet, but still managed to be funny. It wrapped up everyone's storylines. I like how everyone had a nice, happy ending, ending up where they should be.
I thought it was hilarious how Leslie pushed Ben out of the way to get to Anne and she just kept saying, "Anne's here." It was really well done.
On the flip side I thought the last season was in the top 2 for the series in terms of how funny it was, I don't think I laughed that much watching Parks and Rec since Season 3.
I loathed the final season, thought it was just an awful concept changing the timetable. Truly a show with fluctuating quality.

i agree with both of these statements. i thought the time jump was a terrible idea, but i also thought the content of the episodes themselves was among the funniest of the series.
on reflection, i am thinking maybe the reason the content was so good was because we got to see many of the characters in totally different situations. which of course was made possible by the time jump. so maybe it served a useful purpose?
I just watched the finale today and it kind of reminded me of Six Feet under, except the flash forwards were about their successes rather than their deaths.
