Lifetime Suspension

Big two points tonight!
If this team does not make the playoffs its been a helluva a season, don't get me wrong, I will be pissed if they don't.
Monahan, Gaudreau, Hudler, my god. Were blessed for years to come. Just got to add some filler junk pieces like Poirier and Bennett lol!
We still haven't re signed Ramo? I don't expect us too, but......... I am scared to let this guy go. I don't trust Ortio Hiller or Ramo lol. I don't want to lose any of them. Think we have three number one goalies 1a 1b 1c, the order is up for debate.

It's funny how both his parents said his name is John not Johnny, yet even on NHL.com it's Johnny not John haha.

Possible 20 goal rookie next year in Bennett

Good effort throughout the line up and thought the 4th line of Bollig-Stajan-Ferland had another solid outing.
|
Yeah that combination has been playing some excellent 4th line hockey. Stajan obviously with a lot of jump and Bollig finally finding the gears we brought him here for. The whole combination works. Great situation to learn for Ferland.

And Monahan's 28 goals (with 11 GR) is better than any season ever posted by any of Hallsy, the Nudge or Yaks.

Kris Russel with his 30th point tonight gives the Flames 4 D men with 30 or more points. Impressive in todays game.
My favorite player Bouwmeester never did this as a Flame.

Shoutout to Bollig for his work tonight. Kept Ronaldo honest most of the night and beat the #### out of the guy who supposedly slashed him in the leg (I didn't see it). He's playing his best hockey as a Flame and hopefully turns it up come playoff time.

Pretty cool stats from Twitter...

Chris Peters @chrismpeters
Johnny Gaudreau is the first Hobey Baker winner to hit 20 goals as a rookie since Chris Drury in 1998-99. Drury had 44 pts in 79 GP with Avs
|
Drury's coach in his rookie year was also Bob Hartley. If Eichel wins the Hobey Baker this year, he should demand a trade to Calgary to ensure the Calder next year.

If my quick research is right, Gaudreau's 56 points is most by a Hobey winner in his NHL rookie season since Neal Broten in 1981-82.
|
Broten had 98 points, so I don't think Johnny will catch him.

Posted the 2 millionth post!

This game was a PR disaster, Bob making Hiller sit after he got new pads and a mask and the Flames announcing the signing of a dman for next year in the middle of the game so hopefully Doug Murray and Diaz don't get pissed while their lockers are being cleaned out by Hartley after the game. Dressing room drama!

Remember how for the past few years right thru this season the media et al used to just dump on the Flames and kissed that greasy oily butt up north????....Oh how the tables have turned. GO FLAMES GO
AAAAAND we just stole their defenseman because even he knows what to expect up there.

Just back from the game, what a great win. Our top line was amazing, Ramo was solid.
