That's kind of what I was thinking too.

I liked the General's reaction to waking up in his car.

Shame about Fitz... Is Simmons just going to be an imaginary friend from now on?

So if we see new agents at this point, I'll just assume they are redshirts from now on? Seems kinda rushed and the new Shield making mistakes and just accomplishing their enemies goals somewhat. They always seem to be one step behind.

Yeah I was kinda surprised to see Lucy Lawless in there for one episode just to get offed at the end. Not your typical red shirt lol.

Was browsing through Reddit when this AMA with RDJ caught my eye:

This particular question caught my eye (though the question was probably loaded heh):

What ongoing TV show would you be willing to guest star or do a cameo for?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Awesome.

That would be awesome, it won't happen, but it would be awesome, even if he just drove through in the background and flipped Coulson the bird.

Another strong episode last night, Some interesting developments.

Fitz is broken and admits it, but his willingness to torture Ward and make him feel what he felt was very well done. Ward is still hanging Skye's dad over her head, there's no way that he doesn't escape before the end of the year. But Ward did admit that he was a willing member of Hydra and didn't try to justify it.

There is a covert war to aquire agents going on between Shield and Hydra as we saw the appearance of an old foe last night who strangely wanted nothing to do with either side and died for that belief.

I think they rushed the reveal that Simmons was a double agent, they really should have played it like she was a willing member of Hydra or even someone that had gone through some brain washing and revealed later, but I can live with that.

Next weeks episode looks like it could be a fun episode as well.

But I'm really liking this season so far, the Villain, the Nazi scientist is probably not the big bad, Skye's father is probably going to be that guy.

This season has made a turn for the dark. And I like it! Skye is turning out to be a pretty solid agent and a cold-blooded killer. How fun!

I liked the opening happy sequence with Simmons, all happy going to work, has a flirt with the security guy and then her boss rejects her offer to brief the higher ups because the higher you go the scarier they are, then they show the Hydra sign.

Its very dark, I have no doubt that at some point Ward will get out and it won't be good.

All that was missing from that scene was the "Happy" song by Pharrell.

The actor playing Fitz is doing a great job, like his character arch. Skye is still my least favourite character, maybe only for the casting. She just doesn't have the grit required, I don't know what it is.

Yeah, the guy doing Fitz is doing great.

I still wonder if he wasn't put in the machine and bought back from death, and it was Simmons' that had him put in and that's why she left, because she not only got the undercover assignment, but she worried about the effects.

I mean going in and dropping the oxygen on Ward was cold for Fitz.

I don't mind Skye she's better then last year acting wise, but your right, she's certainly not gritty.

I really like the three way battle that's looming.

The mercenary is actually a really good character surprisingly.

Ohh I never thought about the possibility that Fitz died and got brought back to life. Although at the end of last season they just showed him in a coma. Gotta be careful with using that angle though. Having three people suddenly activating super powers might get overly campy. Of course unless one of them gets some useless super power for kicks. I'm calling for the projectile-vomiting-on-cue power. Or maybe not-on-cue. Whichever.

Edit: Though upon second thought, maybe Fitz is a super-villain in the making...

I'm gonna throw out an old Whedon thing from the Buffy universe.

There are no guarantee that people come back to life with a super power. I mean Coulson really didn't get a super power, if anything he got knowledge.

When Buffy died and came back the plot was that she came back different.

What if Fitz, came back different, what if his damage goes beyond the stutter.

Like I said, the whole torture of Ward was completely different and unexpected.

While the image of Simmons helping him out is something darker, she seems to be guiding his research.

When Garrett got his powers, he really didn't get powers beyond knowledge and maybe visions, but the guy was delusional so those visions could have been based on delusion.

As much as I would like Fitz as a villain, they've already had a villain from the group in Ward, so I don't think that they'll pull another betrayal of Shield by one of its own, however they can certainly hint at it and up the paranoia in the group.

Now as for the very calm cultured guy in Hydra, Its safe to assume that he's not really the big bad, he's probably the little bad that gets supplanted by the big bad "Skye's father, the inhumans, possibly even whatever it is that Raina becomes.

Don't forget that Gravitron is still out there and very much in play.

Really good episode tonight with a lot of really interesting developments.

Fitz is slowly getting better, I still think he was bought back from the dead.

We have a three way war between Hydra, shield and the other group happening now.

May versus May fight was strangely hot and even Coulson's reaction was comical.

Nothing "strange" about it. It was just plain hot!

I'm not 100% clear what Coulson means when he says he could become like Garrett. I mean yes Garrett did get a little weird after taking that serum, but he was already bat-poop crazy before hand, so was he really all that different?

Garrett was seeing the universe according to himself, he was seeing what was going to happen to man. This started happening after he got the serum, before that he was pretty much your rational jackbooted thug. After he got the juice he started dong the writing etc.

He went from crazy to mega zoom blah crazy with a side of neck snapping.

Coulson might be walking the same price.

Didn't realize until I saw a Facebook post about her attending the Edmonton Comic-Con that she voiced Disney's Mulan.

She's old enough she might have actually been Mulan.
