It's funny that when I got into work this morning the first thing my co-worker said to me, knowing I'm Canadian, is "did you see that hockey fight and the coach go crazy?"
I've worked with him for three years and he's never even mentioned the sport. Take from that what you will.

I'm pretty sure that DS sensored the LAK twitter after the 2011 playoffs. Nothing interesting out of there for awhile!
Still love you Darryl! Kil Vancouver every time out please!

I was at the game last night, what an awesome hockey game to be at. When I saw McGratton on the ice and Sestito I knew it was game on. My girlfriend couldn't believe it she thought it was insanity.
Kassian is an absolute moron, him and Giordano going back and forth in their respective penalty boxes was hilarious.
I had no idea that Torts had tried to fight Hartley until I got home from the game, wow,
Even though I am an advocate for abolishing the shoot out the entire crowd was on their feet and screaming at the top of their lungs. Fun game to be at.

Torts is an idiot coach. What he did to Lane was inexcusable.
Earlier this week I listened to an interview with Paul Maurice and what a class act. He said no matter if you play 20 years you'll always remember your first game. Enjoy the anthems and the building.
Lane was worried about fighting and his debut lasted 2 seconds. That's a shame.

Heh not too worried about Kellan Lain. The value of him sitting out his first game is sentimental, he'll sleep at night I'm sure. It's not like he got hurt.

Yeah, 5 fights this year. He must have been shaking like a little girl at the thought of it.

still it's his first game, his parents flew in etc...
Torts didn't have to start him after seeing the Flames starting lineup.

I imagine this is what Burke must have looked like when the brawl started:
(man, that guy doesn't smile, literally there no picutres)
I'm surprised no one thought of interviewing Burke.

They're probably going to make an example of Torts, wouldn't be surprised to see 5 games or a huge fine.

My prediction is 5 games and $50,000.00 for Torts.
I don't think Hartley should get anything, but could see a $10,000.00 fine.

Ouch... with the head honchos attending you have to think the book is going to be thrown at him. Those two aren't going to show up for a wrist slapping.

I think its a matter of who else do you send from the NHL. This isn't a player safety suspension or through that area of the NHL. I think it would be coming from Daly/Bettman regardless of outcome.

They tried and he refused to talk about it. I'll try to find the link

The topic that gives Brian Burke pause on this night?
No, not the brawl between his Calgary Flames and the Vancouver Canucks. (That particular icebreaker of a subject, by the way, is a non-starter in the visiting team’s bunker at Rogers Centre.)

The whole "Torts had to do it" argument is such a P.O.S
If it was the third shift of the game and a faceoff in the Flames end and Hartley put his 4th line out I am sure that Torts would have had no issue putting out his first line and trying to score a goal.
