Winamp reminds me of the Napster days.

Wow, totally blast from the past. I had no idea winamp was still around. It was definitely my favourite mp3 player back in the day.
Edit: In fact, I don't know why I don't use it again over the crappy windows media player or itunes. I'm going to go download it now.

Winamp was amazing for it's time. So futuristic. Hosted many parties with my winamp library of the future. I remember it used to eat up a good chunk of CPU cycles.

It would be nice to see the source be released to keep it going in the community but I guess foobar2000 has largely taken its place.

I still use WinAmp with plugins to play odd file formats. Such a shame it's going away.

Ugh, now I have to find another music player that has a Britney Spears skin.

Fond memories of making my own skins for it in MS paint way back in the day.

I still use it as my main PC music player. If you install only the audio playback components in the latest versions, it's a very lightweight player. And it's media library is still the best that I've used

Still has been my go to player through all these years. Tried other players, and kept going back to Winamp.

I always thought winamp was horribly ugly.

It really took the awfulness of itunes and it's bloatedness to make me appreciate the simplicity of winamp.

Winamp was awesome because it was simple and you can spruce it up with the skins
