Wow, that's some defeatist talk by Morrow already, like how it sounds that they are pretty down on themselves right now, just ripe for the picking for the Flames to get off this road losing streak.

Flames and Stars end up playing basketball tonight. Flames win 108-86 highlighted by a backboard smashing dunk in the middle of the fourth quarter by Glencross. Iggy goes 10 for 12 from the free throw line. Giordano blocks a Morrow layup so hard it breaks Jagr's nose.

It would be nice to see Backlund in tonight, but at the same time I want to see one more crack for Cervenka. Playing against Jagr and being benched I would love to see him have a bounce back game and show us he can play a big role at this level. I certainly have not thrown in the towel on this player yet.

He clearly has some skill, he just isn't up to NHL snuff when it comes to conditioning. It'll be interesting to see how his NHL career progresses after this season (if it does).

4-3 flames. iggy, backs, stemp, widemen. Jordano has a great game, PGT has many good gifs which I laugh to as I sing myself to sleep.

Flames are flying too close to the sun (ie a playoff spot).
They will come crashing down, as they have a particular ability to lose to those above them (or near them) in the standings.

Flames get down 2 goals early, the epic meltdown commences. Flames come back and tie the game in the 3rd and win in OT. Triage is set up to deal with the bandwagoners.

I don't think anyone still cheering for the Flames at this stage can be considered a bandwagoner.
You can't fail much harder than the Flames have over the last 3 years. No playoffs, no high end draft picks promising "tomorrow" will be brighter. I can't say I'd casually call any fans of the Flames right now "bandwagoners", because the wagon has been tipped over and set ablaze for some time now.

Watching hockey central at noon they say flames are playing a "just to hang in there gam" and the oilers "are right in the thick of it" 2 points back, 2 games in hand, I don't get the assessments of these idiots bickering... Let's continue the streak and show hartley has faith in this team for a reason

When have the wanna-be's on Hockey Central at Noon ever had a clue about what's happening in Calgary? They only read the box scores and check out highlights if we lose. Even the "analysis" from Toronto during SNET intermissions is so slanted and putting down, even if the Flames are up and playing well. We could blast the Oilers 15-0 giving up only 5 shots and they'd still be polishing their nobs over Hall falling into the boards after snapping a wicked fast shot 8 feet wide and Nuge turning his back when he know's he's getting hit as a smart spin-o-rama play he's so good at.

I'd say the 04 Bandwagon was mostly dead after the Sharks series, and empty by the first year out of the playoffs.

I'm officially optimistic about making the most of these few games in hand and climbing a bit in the standings... which means Flames lose and continue to hover around .500.
Hope I'm wrong!
