I don't understand the move to start Taylor. We have been terrible defensively, and you start a AHL goalie against a dangerous offensive team, which routinely lights us up.

Cancell the game. I consider that a win for the Flames.

This is going to be grim.
I hate when I make a special effort to have a totally free Sunday evening to watch a hockey game and I'm dreading it.

Joey has NHL experience and has won.
Last time Taylor started he gave us a solid 2 periods against a offensively challenged team, and the flames got embarrassed in the 3rd couldn't even get him a goal.

Looks like were in the hunt for a top 5 pick. Vancouver wails on us, more pressure on Feaster , soap continues

I just hate the idea of cheering for a loss.
I will cheer for a win every time. Let the chips fall where they may from there.

Shouldn't this be a bigger story? Why is Gilbertson the only one talking about it?

Have we ever cancelled a game due to weather? I would assume in 33 years it's happened before.

They still have at least 4 hours to get to the Dome. They'll be there, lol. Hopefully the elevation change and having that game yesterday wears them out so we can get right back to .500 hockey where we belong.

If its 1pm or 2pm Calgary time and they haven't left, its a bigger deal.
They weren't likely to skate today anyways (Vancouver) and it takes only 1.5h of a flight to get here. Toss in another 30 min (maybe today 1h) to get to the Saddledome via bus from the Airport, and as long as they're at the rink by 3 or 4pm for a 6pm game, while being a bit rushed for their regular routine and they may complain, it won't be an issue.

Don't think so. Even though I was only 10, I recall there was thought about one of the St. Louis Campbell Conference Final games maybe being cancelled and delayed because a huge 2 day spring May snow storm which dumped a bunch of wet snow on the Dome, and there were worries that it may be too much weight on the roof.
Memories are fuzzy, but I thought that was the issue.
Edit: Amazingly, here's the 27 year old article online. Game 7. A foot of snow, no mention of ever there being a thought of postponement though.

Maybe someone on here that attended that game or was a bit older can shed light on that.

Looks like a few flights have made it in from Vancouver this morning, so it doesn't seem like it's weather related.

Canucks really didn't look that good last night, thought Quick was terrible and really over played the puck too much. It was a sloppy game from LA.
As bad as I think Vancouver is playing the are good enough to beat Danny Taylor.
Hope the kid can stand on his head today. And we need to pour on the offense.
