With Matt Duchene questionable, I'm optimistic we can drive this one home. 3-2 Flames

I would feel better about the Flames chances if the Avs were completely healthy and on fire. It seems as soon as the Flames are told that their opponents are beatable due to injuries, slumping, or being tired they let off the gas.

Love the older pics!
Avs are going to win this one. I'll say 3-1 with lots of dumb penalties and another key injury

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I just don't understand how, as a Flames fan you can come in here and predict a Colorado win. What's the point? Must suck to be a fan like you spending your day thinking the Flames will lose later that night.

Just to re-iterate: it's on Sportsnet Calgary, not Sportsnet West. Channel 302 for Shaw HD.

I have a good feeling about tonight. Baertschi with a goal and a helper, Iggy with a goal and two helpers, Joey Mac with a You-know-what.

Flames are winless this season when trying to get over the .500 hump. Tonight will be no different as Paul Stastny only has 1 goal in his last 10 games so it's time for him to break out of his slump with a huge performance. 4-2 Avs.

Blow out win for the flames, come out fired up after last loss and don't take their pedal of the metal.

Why not? Iggy took off his helmet to fight Claude Lemeiux who promptly scrambled off the ice leading to the Iggy breakaway.

The Flames have played a couple of decent games and I don't think they have it in them to play well when it counts. This team has shown in the past that they can't get it done when they need to, I think that they're going to have to go on a big winning streak if they want to make the playoffs and the pressure is going to get to them.
Or are you just shocked that those two teams play today?

The Flames wearing those black jerseys while the Avs also wore their dark ones. Doesn't seem right, especially with the fans so uninterested.

hmmm allstar game?
Best thing about the lockout is that there is no all star break and a lame-o all star game.
hmmmm i call fake just because it's showing iggy deking on a breakaway/shootout...... hehe

I'm okay with predicting a loss, or not feeling positive about the likely outcome of a game, but some of the posts in the GDTs go beyond this. You end up having posters seemingly going to great lengths predicting what kind of loss. Spending effort to contrive a story about dumb penalties, who will score against the Flames, etc. It's almost as if there's a contest and we're trying to find out which fan thinks this team is worse then anyone else. Yes, these are their opinions, and they're allowed, but I still don't understand it.

So your mandate on this site, a Flames Fans user site is to go into all topics, explain how the flames suck (thanks) and demand a time machien so that you can could trade Iginla three years ago?
Get over it, try having fun while watching the game, its not real life bro.
