Yes Jakers is basiclly The Keg, its the best dinning around unless you head sown to Helena and hit up the Grub Steak. The Prospector Casino has a good Sunday breakfast but I think it ends at 10 nor 11. DO NOT br temted by the Golden Corral, awful.
Also take your cooler with you and load up on boneless Chicken Breasts at the grocery store. And ddon't be affraid to buy and claim extra booze. IF they make you pay duty it's still much cheaper.

The thing is I never excluded chain restaurants in my OP
If it's something that we dont have in Calgary and it's worth recommending, I'm willing to give it a try

For food the Mackenzie River Pizza company would be my pick. Bert & Ernies tavern and grill has also been recently renovated and has live music on weekends, it's another good option.
Another place I'd recommend is the Stein Haus on 1st Ave N - It's not much to look at but they have a pretty awesome selection of Montana micro brews (20+). Sampling the local beer is a must for any trip right?

Is there is Montana Ale Works in Great Falls. I know there are a few around Montana, I went to the one in Bozeman and it was fantastic great food and about 50 different micro-brews from Wyoming, Idaho and Montana.
Edit: Just checked there is only one in Montana and it is in Bozeman. Anyway it is fantastic.

Seriously -- if you're at all a burger fan -- hit up Fuddruckers.

They even had one in Calgary if anyone remembers. I dont remember too much except you got to build your own burger. It got closed down after a couple of years.
It was where Jack Astor's is now in Southland drive and Macleod

Fuddruckers is in Saskatoon, and it seems to be the only thing people mention when coming here. Honestly, it isn't that good. Harveys is better.

I was impressed with the US version -- a 2/3 pound burger for under $6, good flavor, and all the toppings you can fit on a home made bun. My wife ordered the Turkey burger and said it was very good as well.

The US version is much better than what they had in Canada. Up here, I preferred Red Robins, but down in the US, RR's is a disappointment.
What annoyed me last summer passing through Missoula was they took hot wings off the Fudd's menu and switched to Coke products.
Honestly, my fav travelling meal in MT was Wings-Burger-Potato Wedges-Cherry Pepsi at Fudds
