The lackluster lighting and laugh track is really making it hard to keep watching the show.
Camera angles are horrible too.

it's not a laugh track, the sound production is just equally as terrible as the lighting. i'm not sure just how many of the Tonight Show employees Conan took with him, but it's apparent he didn't take the production crew

God, Harrison Ford continues to be the most awkward interview out there... painful to watch.

Yah, quite strange considering TBS almost edit words like "darn" and "heck" in their movies.

That was terrible with Ford, and then the "comedian" Reggie Watts? What was that? At least Rosario Dawson is hot as hell.

Harrison is always a weird interview. I've seen the same stuff from him on Lettermen and Leno.

CTV is letting it go now.

Only good thing on that episode was the monologue and Rosario Dawson.

after a good first few episodes i'm really starting to go "meh" to Conan. TBS still hasn't fixed the crappy lighting and sound, and the best parts of the episodes seem to be the unscripted stuff (like the Harry Potter guy on last night). i also find Conan to be a pretty weak interviewer, compared to someone like Jon Stewart who handled the same weird ass Harrison Ford much easier. i was really hoping for a much more loose and boundary pushing show with his move to cable, but so far it's been pretty much a carbon copy of his Tonight Show. i'll give it another week, but if it doesn't pick up i think i'll go back to sticking with Stewart and Colbert as my late night fix

Huh? Maybe your TV is on the fritz. Seems to look fine to me. Actually, better than the Tonight Show did.
Next week
Monday: Christina Aguilera, Zachary Levi and musical guest Christina Aguilera.
Tuesday: Christina Applegate, Patton Oswalt musical guest Maroon 5.
Wednesday: Eva Mendes, Bob Saget and musical guest Neon Trees.
Thursday: Jim Parsons (sweet!), Marisa Miller and comedian Brendon Walsh.

Who watches talk shows once the interviews start? The first 30 minutes is all that counts.
I rarely stick around to see the guests or band.

I have to disagree with the bolded part here. Stewart is definitely a better interviewer than Conan, but when I compare Conan to Letterman and Leno, I think he's easily the best. Growing up I'd always flip off Leno/Letterman once the guests came on, but I always found Conan was able to keep the interviews fun.
I'm always a day behind on the PVR so I've been kind of avoiding this thread for potential spoilers (can you have spoilers for late night talk shows?), just reading through it now, I'm surprised how many people aren't on board. He's obviously still finding his niche, since it's only been 1.5 weeks, but given that, I think he's been pretty solid. And what's with some of the lighting/camera angle complaints?? Maybe I'm not watching closely enough, but I literally haven't noticed that at all.
I can't wait to see where Conan is in 6 months to a year from now when he's fully comfortable and in the groove. So happy to have the big red headed ghost back on TV, just seems right.

Maybe it's just me, but the Conan interviews is one of the reasons I watch Conan. The guy looks like such a fun guy to talk to. He's miles ahead of Leno's vanilla interviews, and Letterman's smarmy ones IMO.

Conans been awesome. I agree, Conan is the best interview of the 3. for what it is, a late night entertainment show, he's great, rarely a dull, moment. even the Harrison Ford interview, i found funny. Conan talking about how he was trying to convince him to get into the bouncy castle with a bunch of kids."I don't get into bouncy castles" ha ha.

Random thought: Rosario Dawson is insanely hot but why on earth was she dressed like a hooker/stripper? She even had the big pink heels on.

a smoking hot actress dresses like a stripper, goes on national TV for all to see, and you question it?

Argh, they moved Conan from 10 to 11 (MST) on ATV...there goes the time shift advantage...also, Daily Show and Colbert moved from 9 to 10
