But I do understand the sentiment... It would have been mind-bendingly amazing to have SC2, WoW:Cataclysm, and DIII all in the same year... and Blizzard would have made billions and Billions and BILLIONS of $$$.

It was announced 14 months but I am sure they were working hard on it for at least 2 years before that.
Either way, 2011 can't come soon enough.

Absolutely and definitely agreed. DIII is going to be a great game.

The first time I started playing (way back in grade 6 or 7, so 6 or 7 years ago), I didn't know they would get deleted after 90 days, and was horrified when I went to log in the next summer and all my characters were gone. I then played like crazy, got all the rare items, 4 high level characters, etc. But then they got deleted again since I quit playing (I had to stop, I was literally addicted).
I never bought LoD, I played it once and thought it was too complicated (with the runes) so I gave it back to my friend and continued on with normal D2.
My friend just bought D2 and LoD 2 weeks ago and has been playing it non-stop in anticipation of D3! I got him off WoW, but now I got him on Diablo! But Diablo is way better anyway.
Sorry for the long story, but D2 was awesome. First overnighter was playing Diablo 2.
DAMN YOU TIME!! GO FASTER!

I think the monk is supposed to be like the assassin (without the traps). From the Blizzard page it shows claw weapons that the monk uses.

I'd wanna see some proof backing that up, because, although it does kind of make sense, The Burning Crusade had some big problems as well, and that wasn't rushed.
Apparently someone I know in game has a friend who does datamining for a MMO-Champion, and the expansion could come out as early as January next year. Most of azeroth has been reformatted for flying mounts, it just needs to be put into effect.

The original release was a bug fest too - Captain Placeholder, anyone?
I think the big complaint of WotLK was the relative lack of content compared to the earlier releases.

I thought Captain Placeholder was added after the ships bugged out.

Yeah, but I don't get why he bumped it today...
Everyone's known for the last 6 months that SC2 is coming out in 2010. Was there some kind of announcement about Diablo 3 that I didn't hear about?
Otherwise, it just seems like an odd bump.

I was just looking on Blizzard.com and got excited by Diablo 3. Nothing new.
Does Blizzard ever announce anything at E3?

I can not freaking wait for this game. I still fire up D2 on occasion and it's still a pretty solid game. I actually installed the original Diablo a while ago and ran through that. It was fun but you can tell they saved a lot of time with the design of the levels. Having no waypoints sucks when you run out of TP scrolls - and you can't run either. Damn that's a long walk back to town.

No. Blizzard is no longer a member of the ESA and therefore no longer participates in E3. They left when ESA cranked up their membership fees and downsized E3 all at the same time.
That was when they started BlizzCon... which I will be attending as soon as I can!
Edit: Activision Blizzard (The big parent company) participated in E3 2009 but none of Blizzard's products were represented there. I would expect that to continue.
