Default FS: Sanyo PLV-Z5 Home Theatre Projector

Up for sale is a Sanyo PLV-Z5 home theatre projector that is 720p LCD and has about 2300 hours on it. The lamp is stated to last at least 3000 hours in low lamp mode (all its ever been on). Projector functions perfectly and is well reviewed. Currently projects onto a 92x52 screen (not included).

Two HDMI and two component inputs and works with everything (Blu-ray, HDTV, PS3, Wii, HTPC, etc). A very nice projector that displays HD sources very well.

A good thorough review of the unit that should answer any other questions:

Reason for selling: I'm replacing the projector with a high end 1080p unit for much more $$$.

Price is $600. Have original box and accessories. I can demo the projector as well.

Thanks!

Any idea how much a new lamp would cost for it?

The new goggles also do nothing.

Great projector, I have this one in my basement right now. I like the shutter that covers the lens feature.

What did you replace it with bobjr?

1_Flames_Fan, you should be able to get a new bulb for $2-300, depending on how hard you shop around.

Lamps are right around the $250 mark. I've seen some sellers offering "bare lamps", but I'd be weary of something like that.

I'm replacing the projector with a Viewsonic pro8100. Still hasn't arrived.

This was my second Sanyo, I had a PLV-Z2 before. The Z5 was a big step up and has served me well.

Price adjustment to $500. I am firm at this price...

I'll include a DIY screen that is 52x92 as well. This is a curtain blackout fabric screen that actually works pretty good.
