this is perfect for people like me who want to get into this series before GoW3 comes out, but didn't own a PS2 and don't have a backwards compatible PS3. updated graphics, HD resolution, and trophy support, Sony really hit a home run with this idea. can't wait to grab it on Nov. 17
I don't replay a lot of games after finishing them but I played GOW again on God mode and it was one of the toughest games I've ever beat. The fight where you had to fight all the clones while protecting your wife was almost impossible. i wish I could transfer that save info from my PS2 card to my PS3 as I'd like to preserve the accomplishment...as lame as that sounds.
I guess this might be a good way to try to replicate the feat.

Well I'm just going by the opening post...and the whole point of the collection is to introduce people to the series before 3 comes out.

Wow, great news. I'm in the same boat as you - never owned a PS2 and my PS3 isn't backwards compatible.
Really good year for re-releases for me - I beat both Metroid Prime 1/2 a month ago and now get God of War 1/2 shortly after.
Their is a 3-part video on IGN of someone playing the God of War 3 demo. God the game looks epic. *spoilers* he rips someones head clean off, flesh ripping and all.
I haven't played the previous games but will be picking this up Nov. 17 for sure.
So I got the God of War 3 demo, from the giveaway at the official site. I have beat the demo, its really fun. i can tell that it is an e3 demo though, and there are a few kinks that need to be worked out, but the demo is really fun
Ya I played it also and it's pretty much just god of war with better graphics and more gore. Hopefully they stuff more meat into the final game otherwise with the release of the collection people could get burned out by the time 3 hits.
