Default My Fellow Bell Mobile Users...

What phone are you currently using or which would you prefer at the moment? Positives/negatives to the phone you are using?

I'm using the bb8830 and love it. Been using this phone for 28 months now. Almost time for an upgrade.

When is your contract up? What's your aversion to the best phone ever made (iPhone) that you don't switch to Rogers?

I got the touch with a custom skin software that makes it look like the iphone.

Really like it but will be upgrading to Crackberry in the new year.

LG Voyager. Its awesome!

Dont have to pay for a super expensive data plan either. Have unlimited mobile browser as part of the plan I negotiated when my contract expired so its great.

Pros:
-Full html browser
-MP3/MP4 player
-Touch screen on the outside
-Full tactile QWERTY keyboard on the inside (phone flips open)

Cons:
-No accellorometer (sp?) like the iphone, but the browser defaults to landscape mode on the touch screen so its not a big deal
-proprietary charging cable end. Not the micro usb style you see on a lot of devices.

Rogers network blows IMO. My work on call phone is on Rogers and the signal strength in a lot of places is way worse than Bell/Telus. Way more dropped calls. Rogers advertises as if they have the best network, but I have to completely disagree having been on both.

Also, I am not in the mood for paying for expensive data plans on a phone. Maybe that day will come in the future, but not yet.

My wife and I pay $70 total for 2 phones with all the features we need including unlimited browser usage, texting, callid, vmail, etc, etc.

I'm on SOLO mobile (technically Bell) using an LG Rumour (ya teen girl power.. whatever).

I pay $35 a month and get far more text messages then I need, plus enough minutes and call id + voice mail. Very reliable network (same as Telus as well I believe) - good service.

But... I will never, ever go with SOLO again. Their website barely functions and requires that you use Safari to actually get anywhere (both Firefox and IE fail out for me).
