Slow video downloads in iTunes? Upgrade IE
If you're using iTunes for windows and you're finding that video downloads are taking an unusually long time, upgrade to IE 8.
As bizarre as it seems, it actually worked.

They're connected? Hell I don't even care if it works or not ... if you aren't running IE8 you might as well upgrade to it.

"iTunes for Windows" and IE are connected, yes. It uses IE to download all the stuff you order from the iTunes store.
And apparently, earlier versions of IE had caps on the download sizes of files you acquired. In IE6, the download size cap was 2 GB. in IE7, it was 4GB. In IE8, the cap has been lifted.
You don't have to use IE as your default browser. I don't. I use Firefox. But iTunes for Windows will use IE, no matter what you do.

I rarely buy video on iTunes, but I'm all for removing caps. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, when I was downloading the Heroes season premiere in HD, and my transfer speed was 10KB/sec for 4 hours before finally quitting, I figured something wasn't right. :P
2.47 GB file.

How can you like IE more the Firefox? HOW?
And IE7 more then IE8? You're the type of user that Web Developers love to hate -- though you do make us a lot of money...
