Senior pbp guys may not be giving up their jobs on their own will, but why radio station which covers say AHL can't sack their AHL pbp guy and hire a better/more talented guy who covers juniors?

I actually think that Brad Curle is a wicked PBP guy, but he already has a job with the Hitmen

Looks like the Heat have found their guy. Dave Sheldon who did Play by play for the Van Giants last season joins the Heat as Play by play and Media Relations Director.

Sheldon is not very good at all. I am not a fan, just sounds too bush league IMO. the Giants thought so as well and didn't renew his contract. Granted, that might have had a lot to do with the Giants landing Morley Scott.(former Oiler color guy).
Oh well.

Sheldon is a fantastic play-by-play guy. Much better than garbage talent like Shorthouse (who couldn't even call a bingo game accurately).

Oh, how you are so wrong. Shorty is one of the best. Canuck fans as disgusting as they are, should consider themselves very lucky to have him call their games. Larscheid on the other hand......

The Sheldon situation was more due to him not seeing eye-to-eye with management as far as I've heard.
I got to work on a feature on him for school last year, he was very accommodating to us. Nice to hear he is back on his feet in Abby.
I have no issue listening to Shorthouse either. Larscheid is what he is...

Hmmm, have you actually heard Sheldon call a game? It's hard to listen to. Hard as in you feel embarassed for him, and hard as in you have no clue what's going on.
Dave was hated in Chilliwack, hated in Vancouver, and I'm positive he will be hated in Abbotsford.

Heat continue to get off-season press

Many times. You see, they have this thing called the internet, where you can listen to radio broadcasts of junior and minor league hockey games all winter.

I've listened to plenty of Giants games. Dave Sheldon is top notch.
You're just a piss poor attempt at trolling.

Well that's you're opinion, I'm just letting you know you're in the VAST minority. He was hated in Chilliwack and hated in Vancouver.
Trolling? Whatever.
