Anyone here going to see Clutch (@ the Underground) tonight? Should be a damn good gig (will be my 3rd time) as they are always super-tight. I would imagine that Darren McCarty will be there tonight as he's also a big fan (saw him wearing his Clutch shirt at the System of a Down gig).
Kinda burnt out on that band, seen them maybe 3 or 4 times also. They're great, and heads above alot of heavy stuff out there, but there have been too many shows in Calgary lately so I'm staying home to watch hockey.
these guys must like Calgary, i just picked up tickets for their July 31 show at Flames Central. can't wait, they were awesome the last time they were here

they've got 3 new tracks available for streaming here from the new album out on July 7. Minotaur, 50,000 Unstoppable Watts, and Abraham Lincoln. all 3 sound killer so far, can't wait until the release

I just bought the CD that has the track from the youtube you posted on it. I've owned it for 20 minutes. How do the other releases compare?
In other words, do I need to plan on dropping $75 on these guys over the next few months?

download some stuff from Pure Rock Fury. they had a much more raw sound on their earlier albums, and that was the last (and best) before they started morphing into a groove rock/blues/funk band. it's cool to hear the gradual change in sound from album to album, i'd definitely recommend checking out their collection from Pure Rock on
well the show last night was awesome, they were better than the first time i saw them at the Whiskey even without an organ or harmonica player. helps that Flames Central is a kick ass venue, but they sounded so might tighter and Fallon was a madman on stage. the jam at the end before the encore was incredible
