As much as I think the guy is a knob... the app itself looks like it's pretty well done. This brings some interesting possibilities to the table.

I'd love to see a Calgary Flames app that was as well done as that seems to be.

Yeah, I was hoping people would see past the Dane Cook aspect and see how well done the app is.

Kind of looks like he's made his own Twitter feed, plugged in some extra marketing and added a video feature. He's obviously trying to cash in on an uprising social media tool, but I can't help but feel he'd reach a lot more if he just updated a twitter account. For video's and links to buy his stuff he could just link to his website.

He already does a whack of updating to his twitter account and uses a lot of plug-ins on his page as well.

He really seems to understand how powerful interactive media is.

Then I stand corrected. I was thinking that he'd be doing this instead of using twitter. I suppose if he's going to do both then he's going to keep in touch with even more people.

Yeah, not really a big Dane Cook fan - I just saw what he was doing with the available channels of new media and is probably one of the better "celebs" actually using it to their advantage.
