Report: Clermont returns home to join Roughriders

The Globe and Mail reports that former B.C. Lions slotback Jason Clermont has agreed to terms on a contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
According to the paper, the Clermont told other CFL teams Thursday night - namely the Calgary Stampeders and Toronto Argonauts - that he has decided to sign with Saskatchewan.

Grey Cup here we come. And its in Calgary too. Ten minute drive from my house to witness the Riders win. Just hope I can score some tickets from some depressed Stamps fans who don't want to go anymore.

Probably not, beyond your QB'ing problem, your aging offensive line, and the fact that Mo Lloyd your leader on defense recently bitched on line about the Riders offer, and Hamilton and B.C. looking at buying your whole linebacking core, you guys are solid.

It came down to Clermont going back to his hometown and Calgary not offering as prominant a role as he'll have in Saskatchewan.
