Shaw Audio Sync
We have Shaw cable with the ol' HD box. Our tv is a bit of a no name plasma off-brand from Costco that's been otherwise awesome.
From time to time, we experience some sort of weird audio delay on certain channels. Rarely does it occur on analog channels and it seems most noticeable on the HD channels. It doesn't happen on every channel all the time. In fact, it might come and go on the same channel in the same day.
Because of its intermittent nature, it's been hard to diagnose the cause. I'm afraid that the problem might be the tv but there seems to be a lot of people experiencing similar problems on digital home Canada.
So, my question is threefold:
1. Does anyone else in Calgary with Shaw digital experience something similar?
2. Is this problem exclusive to Shaw or do people in Calgary on Bell (and others) have similar audio sync issues?
3. How would one test to determine if the problem was because of the tv itself rather than the tv source?
