During the launch of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4, I and many hundreds of thousands experienced connection problems. Took a while but MS got it going again.
Then came Xmas. Geez, whoduthunk that with every cat and dog on the planet getting a copy of these games wouldn't cause server issues again? Naw... won't happen.
But as predictable as a Britney Spears meltdown, sure enough the holiday season has been awful for Xbox live users trying to play online.
According to one report, it looks like Xbox is going to compensate the Gold users somehow (don't know how yet) for the holiday down time. Heck, even today, the problems are still happening.
Here is the story....
Quote:
Xbox Live users will be compensated for problems experienced with the online service during the holiday season, website Gamespot.com reports.
...
Now Microsoft has said it has been working to fix the difficulties and will compensate its Xbox Live Gold members for the problems.
...
While service has been improving, it is reportedly still not without issues.
