What's with the sudden surge in conservative threads? Is there an election coming or something?

Oh yeah....

To prove this point.....Canada floats a Freedom flotilla to Gaza.

Israel's military assault on the Freedom Flotilla once again exposes not only the dire humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, but also Israel's flagrant disregard for human rights and international law. As our countries and world leaders remain silent, citizens around the world are now re-energized and ready to launch more flotillas to bring humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza and to directly challenge Israel's illegal siege and naval blockade of the Gaza Strip.

IdiotsRUS

Supported by Postal Workers Union!!!
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers wants mail delivered to Gaza.
Following an announcement by Canada Post that Israel Post has suspended mail delivery to Gaza, the union is encouraging people who wish to send mail to Gaza to get their mail onto the Canadian boat bound for the blockaded Palestinian territory.
"As postal workers, we know very well that cutting off mail creates suffering and hardship for people, who are isolated from their loved ones," said Denis Lemelin, National President of CUPW. "How many more abuses will the people of Gaza have to endure?"
Numerous organizations are working together to endorse a Canadian boat to Gaza in the autumn. Others, including Independent Jewish Voices, have supported the idea of getting mail onto the boat.

BUT

Here is a heart warming story of Palestinians reaching out to their hated foes. An orchestra plays for Holocaust survivors and two communities who hardly know each other learn about each other! But the JOOOS get in the way......fkrs!

Wafa Younis, the now banned director of the orchestra was quoted as saying: "We didn't do anything wrong."

Great news...Elders of Zion have retired!!!!

BTW: Best name for the ship is

THE SEA HITLER

By far left psychosis, do you mean rational, level headed thought, free from religious corruption? The sort of 'psychosis' you are in danger of falling ill to when you step into a university lecture hall or other place of higher learning? Is this the same mental sickness as when a person decides the world is better off not taking 'the word of god' literally?

Or am I confused?

I'm sure if I go watch Fox News I'll be set straight.

PS I didn't click your original link.

I don't know Hoz, I've listened to the first half so far, and the discussion of the usage of stupid westerners who supported Stalin secretly and openly for propaganda purposes while Stalin laughed and thought they were the biggest morons ever is an old story.

You could even put Trudeau in the classification of useful idiot as he was considered a friend and soft touch by every communist and murderous despot in the world at the time.

I had forgotten that HG Wells was a useful idiot.

Wow just cause you don't like a persons political or personal views because they don't have your supposed enlightened view point. Rational thought is based upon a persons perception of the world, not on a political ideology.

I loved the typical fox news shot, a enlightened rational thinking person should be able to come up with something far more creation.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to watch the CBC. As I need to learn more about the desired publicly funded baby sitter government.

I only went after him because he referred to a specific ideology as a 'psychosis'.

Also, your explanation of rational thought is very loose. Warrant and justification play larger roles than perception in prescribing a rationale. I would also argue that most intellectuals (yea, I said it) would explain that religion most commonly disturbs such a process from occurring free of influence.

Fox News pot shots are always HOZ fodder.

I can only describe radical relativism to be some form of ridiculous psychosis.

Actually, according to some critical theorists, Slavoj Zizek for example, ideology IS psychosis, substituting the real way of things for the images of a political plan.

Marxism is, arguably, the world's first real ideology given Marx's attempt to create a new social science modeled along the lines of Darwin's new natural science.

The show is to move on to modern times and yes Trudeau certainly fits the "Useful idiot" profile. Brilliant, Arrogant, Elitist, and easily flattered. Fortunately for Western Canada he was satisfied only with making jobs disappear and not people (directly).

You know, as much as I hate Stalin because of the atrocities that he perpetrated, because of his enslavement of millions. I do have to admit that I can see why the average Soviet would follow him to straight to hell.

I look at some of his quotes, and to be honest, they are quite awesome

Death solves all problems - no man, no problem.
Joseph Stalin

Education is a weapon whose effects depend on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed.
Joseph Stalin

Everyone imposes his own system as far as his army can reach.
Joseph Stalin

Gratitude is a sickness suffered by dogs.
Joseph Stalin

I believe in one thing only, the power of human will.
Joseph Stalin

If any foreign minister begins to defend to the death a "peace conference," you can be sure his government has already placed its orders for new battleships and airplanes.
Joseph Stalin

It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.
Joseph Stalin

One death is a tragedy; one million is a statistic.
Joseph Stalin

The only real power comes out of a long rifle.
Joseph Stalin

The Pope? How many divisions has he got?
Joseph Stalin

When we hang the capitalists they will sell us the rope we use.
Joseph Stalin

You cannot make a revolution with silk gloves.
Joseph Stalin

That is what I always thought reading the liberal vs conservative arguments.

The Liberals bash on the conservatives due to "unreasonable belief" based on religion but never seem to see that their own political beliefs ARE their religion.

I think the more accurate representation is why the average Russian would follow him straight to hell - possibly the odd Georgian as well. For a large percentage of Soviets, Stalin was the provider of pain, destruction and death and in most cases if it looked like people were following, it was due to a Mosin–Nagant model 91/30 rifle barrel being pointed at one's spine.

Oh Lenin. I think that conviction, devotion and courage are essential to politics, but only when they are conducted within reality. Ideology is all imagery, buzzwords and slogans.

Isn't ideology necessary in that knowing the "real way of things" is impossible. We can logically induce what they are, but, we have to make certain assumptions and leaps of faith in order to partake in thought and discussion on any topic.

If you look at the loyalty that ethinic Russian's have to Stalin it was pretty amazing stuff. You can argue that the non native soviets at the time absolutely hated Stalin and for example the Ukrainian's greeted the Nazi's as liberators.

Even today there are Russian's that pine for the return of centralized controls and Josef Stalin.
