Have to be fake. And the fakes come with tags as well.

They're knock-offs, even by the images you can tell the red is wrong. You see these all around the dome these days.

That's true.

But a jersey is a jersey, has the reebok logo and stuff, you would never be able to tell if it was fake or not. My buddy bought a team Canada one here and ours looked identical. For $44.99 you cant go wrong haha

Unfortunately, you can go wrong. My buddy tried to buy a Brodeur Team Canada jersey and ended up receiving a Brodeur Devils jersey. When he e-mailed the company to complain they told him to try to sell the jersey and buy another one from them. As if he would deal with them again.

Actually, they're pretty easy to spot and the knock-offs are of very differing qualities. The retros are especially bad. The fabrics are wrong; the collars are wrong; the colours are really wrong; and the stitching on the logos and numbers looks horrible.

Not even close. It's hard to tell from the photo, but in person, the red is almost bright orange.

Not to mention the neck is all wrong. There's not even any yellow in it. That's just sloppy.

You can get some really good knock-off jerseys on ebay for cheap, but make sure you bring a really critical eye(to the point of having an official jersey in another window to compare). There's waaaaay more terrible knock-offs than good ones. I have two fake Saints jerseys from ebay but they look legit. So much so that my buddy's actually convinced the guy f'd up and sent me a real one by mistake(he didn't).

I find the fakes really easy to spot, and I think they look terrible. There seems to be a lot more fakes in the Dome this year. To start with, the colour is off. The colour alone makes them easy to spot from a distance. As you get closer, the logos, numbers, and lettering look almost homemade.

True. I haven't bought a fake NHL jersey before, but I'm sure its the same as NFL ones in terms of mistakes to spot. I've been told that for some reason its cheaper for them to use "5's" than "2's" on unis(why, I have no idea), so you'll see a lot of "5's" on unis that are really an upside down "2". I've seen a TON of Reggie Bush 25 jerseys that are simply just a 2 and an upside down 2. May be hard to spot at first, but once you do, you can see it easily and it just looks terrible. To spot it, look at the very top right of the #5. If it's just straight, its a real 5. If its got that little hook going down, its probably an upside down 2, and you now own a terrible jersey.

I'm a huge jersey nitpicker so buying a fake totally goes against my personality. But when you're a broke college student and jerseys cost $220, and you find one that looks just like it for $30-60, it's pretty hard to pass up.

This season is the first where I've seen those ######rs selling them along the +15.

I can totally tell the fake jersey's from the legit ones. The lettering is all weird and the color of the jersey is way off. I guess it's because I look at mine and then I look at theirs, and I can compare.

Now if one were to wear a pens jersey amongst all the flames ones at the dome, i doubt I'd be able to spot a fake

I hate those crimson red ones I have started seeing around the Dome recently. They just look bizarre.

I would buy one if the colour was correct, though.

Never really thought of that before, that's probably why I've been able to get pretty solid fake Saints jerseys. Pretty hard to screw up black. I can definitely see how you'd get terribly discoloured teams though. I've seen some just God AWFUL Saints gold 3rds. One wasn't even gold, it was clearly just yellow. Why even try to sell that, I'd be embarassed.

I bought my Iginla lettered jersey at I think Intersport at North Hill for 179.99 last summer. It was a steal but the only knock against it is the numbers are silk screened
