And for those other mechheads out there

Sure mechwarrior 4 was closer than any of the others to being a console port, but it also introduced dedicated slots, and sort of physical limitations on what you could stick into a slot. Still liked Mechwarrior 3's mobile command unit, and on the battlefield salvage.

I love the old Mechwarrior; hopefully this one isn't much like that preview, which had all the tactical subtlety of a drunk fistfight.

I loved the Mechwarrior games too! It's been like 10 years, but damn was that game fun. Is it only for PC or is it lined up for PS3?

Xbox and PC, as I don't think Microsoft has let the license the lapse.

Saw this myself, if the environment and graphics are like that clip, I'm all over it. I've been very dissapointed by mech games in the past, hopefully this one doesn't fit into that category.

Games these days just don't have that mix of lasers and old fashioned missiles.

And two PC's so you can play both at the same time. Now that would be impressive.

I remember there was a top down turn based MW game on the Amiga that my friend had, it wasn't official, just some shareware in the age when stuff like that didn't get sued into oblivion.
It was as close to the pen and paper / miniatures game as you could get.
I feel sad for my kid, poor guy is going to have his dad buying all these old weird games and keep trying to convince him to play.
"Hey, come paint your Madcat!"
"But dad, the kids are playing baseball"
"MADCAT!"
"Aw man.."
