Default Nice work Global

They were just reporting on this new fandangled technology called "High Definition", or "High D" as Tony Tighe likes to call it - he's so techy.

Apparently its the latest whizz bang thing around the TV world. They actually had a true to life "Expert" from Future Shop on and he tells me the picture is now "proportionate" and produces a "great, great solid picture". Fwew, all these years of un-proportionate TV can now come to a screeching end.

I can't wait to get this Hi Dedication thingamajig on my blinky light box. Will it work with my corded remote?

The greatest part - none of the interview or the News Hour is in HD.

Exactly why Local TV (and their national Canadian networks) are pointless. I hate that absurb Global commercial for that idiotic brain-dead Global National show they have.

The commercial keeps pounding the tagline: "HOW WILL YOU UNDERSTAND!??!? (why such and such happened)", HOW WILL YOU UNDERSTAND!!???? (what this news event means)" like it was life or death situation that you need to understand why something happened in the world and that you would be hopelessly lost and forever confused and tormented unless you tune into Global National for that dork Kevin Newman or whatever to explain it to you in big words and slow ideas because the theme of the show is "news understood".

Well thank-you very much but I have my own brain and you're not going to make me watch a show by cementing the fact that you think I am a ###### and need to be spoon-fed your verison of news for dummies. I can understand because I can do my own research and come to my own logical and fact-based conclusions in a fraction of the time it takes for me to sit through your brain-dead program.

High D? Who the hell told him that was a good idea? Can't you only make up new names for things that aren't established?

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

All will be forgiven if they show Brienne Hurlbert in a bikini. Preferably transparent.

It'll probably be the ###### with the divot in his chin that does the morning show instead. Gawd he's annoying--no wonder I watch cityTV while eating my frosted flakes.

At least they reported correctly that Jim Balsille's bid to purchase the Coyotes and move them to Hamilton has been approved

I wish someone would hurry up and invent something we can roll stuff around on. I'm getting tired of pushing these square blocks everywhere.

Here's they thing that bugs me about both CTV and Global in HD. They make a big deal about it, but shoot news with non HD cameras. Further proof all they wanted were sim subs.
