				 Sergei Priakin Award Nominee’s

Sergei Priakin Award - Most underrated CPHL player voted on by all CPHL clubs.

Ok, guys and our lovely lady. I’ve decided to change things up just slightly on this award and if the league has a problem with it then they will correct me…
Since I’ve always found this a tough award to search through each team look for a player I thought it might be better to deal with it the same way the NHL does the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy… Each NHL team is responsible for selecting one player from their team to be voted on…. This way for our CPHL awards we as GM’s just need to vote for the player we think best from the 30 selections

This is a mandatory exercise for all GMs.

			From the Flyers
 Brooks Laich 73OV
 CPHL Stats: GP82 G17 A20 P37 -7 PIM101
 NHL Stats: GP82 G23 A23 P53 -1 PIM31

Under-rated since not a lot talk about him, will be big part our future. Played 82 games in the NHL and CPHL and plays a very good two way game. Now has some offensive game developed as well. Part of our shut-down line next year.

			From the Avs
 Fredrik Modin - 73 OVR
 84GP - 34G - 35A - 69PTS

Did not get much recognition but he was a solid player for the Avs.

			Leafs will nominate Paul Gaustad
Was going to go with Harding but I figured it has to be someone who really played all season. He only played in 28 games.

So Gaustad was rated a 74OV and had 17 goals, 22 assists, 39 points in 83 games. He was a +22 and added 128 PIM's.

Most importantly he was always one of our main penalty killers and actually played a lot on our 2nd line despite his rating, and did well.

Habs nominate Carlo Colaiacovo for this award.
CPHL: Played 84 games in the CPHL and had 5g + 28a = 33 points. All this with a 69 OVR rating. He also managed a +1 on a team with not many + players.

NHL: Played 63 games (a career year for him), and also put up career numbers with 3 goals and 26 assists. He was one of the reasons the Blues were able to make the playoffs, he stepped up when the team's d-core was depleted.

The Stars would like to nominate Brandon Dubinsky. As a 74 OV forward, he played every game, and led the Stars with 30 goals and 80 points. He also had 15 powerplay goals, one of the highest totals by any player in the league.

Thrashers nominate rookie 74 ov Robert Nilsson. Nilsson was behind forwards Datsyuk, Pominville, Naslund, McDonald and Hecht in terms of OV but had a great season. He played on the 2nd unit PP as well as either his regular time on either the 2nd or 3rd line during the season.
Nilsson's regular season stats(74 ov and a rookie):

 85 GP: 30 G, 55 A, 85 pts, +13, 8 PPG, 6 GWG

(Not to mention his playoff scoring stats in which he had 22 pts and finished 3rd in playoff scoring despite only playing 2 rounds).

Great idea but the Wild won't be offering up a player. We don't have anyone that competes with some of the candidates already being put up. So just mark us n/a.

Oilers will put up Teppo Numminen. During the season he only had 10 goals and 25 assists in 60 games between the Oilers and Penguins while registering a +16 rating. But the 71 OV defenceman had 10 goals and 25 points and a +17 rating in 26 games for the Oilers and was one of our top 4 defenceman during the playoffs.
