Well, anything you build adjacent to them gains a damage boost, starting at 10%. The upgrades are expensive, so I don't think their worth it at all.

They upgrade the damage of towers adjacent to them.

I haven't built any, but you can use ones already placed to some significant advantages.

The ones in the middle are fully upgraded, so the four slots in there get a 100% boost. The way I won that scenario was to build two squirt towers and two splash towers (the missile ones) in the middle, then use basic towers to herd everything into the left entrance and have them go all the way to the right. If you put some slow towers just before the middle part, and keep upgrading the middle towers it's easy. A level 6 squirt tower in the middle does something like 900 damage and shoots really fast, and the upgraded splash towers do like 400 damage or something.

Oh yeah, that level, that's the same thing I did. Got a lvl 6 squirt in there. Pretty much seals the deal.

I'm on 23 right now, round wave 25 things just go nutty. Can't get it. And unfortunately, the way they have the locked pieces in there, I'm having trouble mazing the creeps.

Stuck at 23 also, I bet HFdrunk goes trough with it at ease, ruining my next furlough.... I have got to round 30 at least.,,
