Default Iran criticises Canada's human rights record

I should have written this in this thread "Things that are so absurd they actually stop you in your tracks" but felt it deserved it's own thread.

Yes Iran is criticising Canada in a smoke screen to shield itself or more likely revenge. In 2006 Canada lead a unsuccessfully UN motion to criticize Irans misdeeds.

Written by Iran "in the name of God," the document asserts that the Canadian government denies its people food, clean water and the right to work.
"Routine unlawful strip and beatings by Canadian police has been a matter of concern for international community," notes the booklet, entitled Report on Human Rights Situation in Canada, adding that "the practice of police is alarming simply because ... it is functioning as if there is no need to have judges."

Until Iran adequately investigates and prosecutes the Zahra Kazemi murder there is no need to acknowledge any Iranian "criticisms" of Canadian Human Rights.

Wow... just wow.

If Iran had actually taken Canadian History 201, they may have been able to make a case about Canada's human rights record from 1800 to 1981.

The only place police behave in the manner that they describe is in Edmonton!

They must of been watching the Flames/Oiler matchups of recent years and assumed the "C" on the jersey stood for Cops.

To me this just says that Iran is clearly a nation with a much better sense of humour than their international reputation gives them credit for.

Wacky Iranians.

One of the funniest things I ever saw was some report on the brainwashing the media gives its people over there. In this instance, the public were being told by a reputable news source that Pepsi stood for "Pay Every Penny to Save Israel". Nevermind that Pepsi was started 50 years before Israel was even a country...

Its what the Government won't let us have....according to Iran anyways.

Hell, even if I wanted a job, there is no way there are open jobs in Calgary. I could never find a job here if I tried/wanted one.....

The gov't is giving out socialized spankings and nobody told me?!?! Sure, instead of a private (but expensive!) spanking by a hot co-ed like you'd get in the States, you probably get it done by a dude with questionable hygiene, but dammit it's FREE!!!!

Canada needs to be freed from it's oppressive ruler. Sorry you are going to have to stand in line somewhere behind Somalia. I think the French Foreign legion is spread a little thin right now

Is it safe to come up and watch a flames game. How many spanking just to fly into Canada for a few days?

Iran doesn't strike me as a country with an abundance of friends but they sure are good at making enemies.

Priceless. I particularily like the whole bit about Women's Rights (or lack there of) being violated here! Comedy gold.

If this wasn't real, I would have sworn it was written by the National Enquirer.
