Default Need advice on electric razor

As the title suggests I need some advice before I purchase an electric razor. I am tired of replacing old fashioned razor blades after 2 shaves - i am practically a wolfman... 5 o'clock shadow hits me at noon.

The basic criteria I am hoping to satisfy is the following:

waterproof - i still want to shave in the shower
cordless - see above
easily cleaned - preferably something that can just be rinsed under the sink and sprayed with some type of disinfectant.

If anyone has any experiance, good or bad, please let me know.

You might want to check out the thread we had earlier on electric razors.

I hate shaving and once looked at electric razors on Consumer Reports. Basically, I discovered that no electric razor can come close to the good old razors and shaving cream.

thanks ken, and troutman, i too hate shaving, but if I dont replace the razor blade everyother shave I get serious knicks while shaving. The blades get dull so fast because I have very thick/dense facial hair.

My electric razor is amazing. You can combine 2 essential parts of your morning into one easy step. ****ting and shaving can now be done at the same time!!

I'm with Peter on this, it's a big timesaver.

As a fellow member of the 5 O'clock shadow at noon team, I'd go with a Philishave. As mentioned in the thread Ken posted, the guys at "The Shaver Shop" are in my view shaving gurus and they recommended I stick with Philishave razors. Don't know what their view on the shower shavers is, but if you live in town you might want to visit them.

I agree. The old fashioned shaver CUTS your hair off, an electric shaver TEARS it off.

I think I will stop there on my way home from work tonight. Thanks for the advice.
