On another note could you imagine the pitch for this?

"Look...here's what we're going to do. We'll take a bunch of 16 year-old boys with geasy skin and unkept hair. We'll stick them in front of large screen TVs and watch them grunt and spaz out. And we'll televise it!"

it would proably get better ratings then hockey in the US.

not of they offer it to the overseas crowd. In Korea they have 3 channels devouted to Starcraft and another 2 to other video games. Trust me its not a bad idea... that being said i know 5 ppl will be competing in the MLG this year.
