Based on how Oilers' goalies do when they move to a new team, Picard could get picked up.
I feel Calgary has many replacements for Kirkland if for some miracle he gets picked up.

Wait...who would be backup to Jarry in EDM? Ingram I guess, but that seems risky to stick with him long term.

Kirkland's time has come. He just isn't that good to stick in the NHL, even on a club as bad as the Flames. Sucks, because he seems like a great guy too.

So last night's performance from Jarry and Ingram were so good they decided to punt Pickard.

Johnny Beecher was day-to-day, so I bet he's set to return.

Kirkland was a great story but, as with all great stories, often have sudden and dramatic endings.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

If he clears, this should be a good reinforcement for the Wranglers

He's still a better #4C than Beecher. Not that I think it will have much of an impact on the season as a whole.

Isn't this just making room for Parekh?

I thought Pickard was supposed to be their saviour after the Anointed Chosen One was traded.

The Oilers are finishing the season with 2 entirely different goalies than they started with.

Parekh was recalled from his conditioning stint the other day but he counted against the roster limit the entire time.

True. There's still an outside shot of the return of Jack Campbell. Then they can buy him out again and pay him TWICE to not play for them.

It isn't. When a player get sent down to the AHL on a regular conditioning stint he uses up 1 of the 23 roster spots. If Parekh was sent down on an LTIR conditioning stint, like Pospíšil, then you would've been right.

The Oilers are so funny. What hilarious timing after last night’s debacle for Jarry and Ingram. I can’t wait for Pickard to improve his stats dramatically with whoever claims him, and then for the Oilers to continue blaming the wrong guys for their struggles rather than fixing their D.
Remember when it was Tobias Reider’s fault from the 4th line that the Oilers didn’t make the playoffs? Same issues as then, a decade later.
