Hmmm... I feel like the first number of days never have guys worth picking up as everyone is watching what everyone else is doing.... And then in the last couple of days, they'll try to sneak a guy or 3 through

It's Buffalo, none of it looks good.

Two schools of thought on waivers - one is to try and get a guy down early, because other teams are still evaluating players. This is how Vancouver got Markstrom through waivers at some point.

Other is to waive them when everyone else waives players to try and sneak them through.

Honestly, I don't think anyone claims Ingram as he's clearly battling his OCD issues again, which is why he and the team are parting ways. He's hoping that a change of scenery will help him get back on track, but it's a big risk to take for a team. It's not even clear that he's going to play any games at the moment to start the season.

Yeah, most teams haven't cut all the goalies at their own camps, so they aren't picking up another to add to the logjam for a backup. Look at Calgary. No one has established the spot, but they aren't going to complicate things by adding another.

Nobody is going to pick up anyone this early

They all have their own waiver challenges

Your point? I think he was put on waivers by the Canucks in 2014.

Sorry, worded badly on my part. Not "got" as in acquired. Should have put "passed"
