Also sounds like Larsen will stay on next season: https://www.thefourthperiod.com/pagn...hrough-toronto

Flames assistant coach Brad Larsen tossed his hat in the ring for some of the HC vacancies, but I’m hearing he will remain on Calgary’s bench next season.

Has Larsen's life stuff cleared up so he can return to work?

In all seriousness Cull did a fantastic job this past year and I’d be thrilled if he returned full time

Maybe Lambert leaving is so Cull can be on the bench full time. With Larsen also coming back.

I wonder if Dan Lambert will find his way back to NSH somehow. Best of luck.

Now can we bring in Tanguay as the PP / associate coach? And Cull back as the PK coach?

Cull has future HC vibes

A duster like that behind the bench would be so CGY

The Calgary Flames are making a change behind their bench. I reported earlier this month that Brad Larsen is sticking around. Yesterday, I tweeted (X’d?) that Dan Lambert is not returning next season. Not yet confirmed, but some whispers that Wranglers coach Trent Cull jump back to Calgary as an assistant coach.

Default Pagnotta: Dan Lambert will not return as Assistant Coach next season

https://www.nhl.com/flames/news/flam...anges-30-05-25

The Calgary Flames announce today that Trent Cull has been named assistant coach. Cull joined the Flames during the 2024-25 season on an interim basis following Brad Larsen’s leave of absence from the club. Larsen will return to the Flames for the 2025-26 campaign. In a subsequent move, the Flames have released assistant coach Dan Lambert from the remaining year of his contract with the team.

I think Cull would be a great head coach for this team.

More confirmation about Cull getting the full time assistant job. I also think he did a great job at fixing our PK, by turning a weakness into a strength.

Makes total sense.

No Dan Lambert and no Lane Lambert for the only serious and obvious reason.

Because There Can Be Only One...and thusly we must hire Christopher Lambert!

great point. I was not really excited when they hired Cull for the AHL team after losing Love; not sure why....he just seemed like an older CHL type guy. But he's been great.

I love how Connie et al find these coaches, and trust they will keep building a bench of great homegrown coaching talent.
