Perhaps the most interesting speculation on twitter right now is that the Ducks are leaning towards taking Carlsson at 2 over Fantilli.

Free agency always falls on July 1st (minus the COVID years). This year July 1st falls on a Saturday. Can’t have the draft and free agency start the same weekend

Then why not have the draft June 23/24? We've had it as early as June 22/23 in 2012 and 2018 and June 21/22 in 2019.

Has anyone been to the draft viewing party at the Dome? I'm just wondering if it's worth going to. If it's just sitting in silence sipping on $11 beer until the Flames step up, I can do that home for free.

Im guessing due to the Cup finals being a little later than usual, too quick of a turn around. Just a guess though

Yeah had the finals went 7 games game 7 would have been on the 17-19th don't remember exactly. Also NBA draft was around the 22 as well.
