Default Flames are done for the day after the Rittich and Bennett trades

per Treliving Rittich and the Bennett trades are the only deals they made before the deadline. Won't comment much on the Bennett trade because it is still in the queue

No other deals

Guess Ryan and Nesterov weren’t getting much value in offers?

Treliving to expected to be "quiet" at the trade deadline... I wonder how much salt is in that thread of something which was obviously always not fully true.

not a bad deadline. Hopefully some major moves will be made in the off-season. Glad we can move on from Bennett though.

Would have been nice to see some value extracted from Ryan, but I guess that's that.

Good work by the GM under tough circumstances. Now the pressure shifts to the summer. Treliving has a lot of work to do.

Was hoping they would get something for Ryan. Nesterov, Leivo, and Simon all looked like garbage so get those ones.

Too bad.

Would have loved to see a pending UFA forward or three gone too, even for late round picks.

No market for those guys though, especially since none of them have been all that good this season.

Well, he did well on the trades he did make.

Still couldn't help but wish for a bit more change up, but I guess that's for the offseason.

I'm really surprised Ryan wasn't moved. He'd be an excellent depth player for any contender. Thought Stone might go for a 7th or something for a team loading up on d-men depth.

In the day of the salary cap I guess it's easier said then done.

I suspect they probably get Ryan extended for a year at a low dollar figure.

added two decent picks and a prospect for players that likely would have been lost for nothing (Seattle)

looking around there didn't seem to be much of a market for certain guys

Sam Bennett got the 3rd best return of the deadline lol

Glad we get to watch Derek Ryan skate past defensemen and throw weak stick checks at them in the offensive zone for the next 15 games...

Derek Ryan is a Darryl Sutter type player. He's like Dave Lowry v.2. I think he comes back on a reduced salary and transitions into a coaching role.

Not a bad day and good returns for Sam Bennett and David Rittich. Brad maybe saved his job, lol.
Good luck and much success to both those players, hope they both get good contracts.

I mean he still built a terrible team. Two good returns on bottom tier players doesn't do that.
