What would be funny, is if Ottawa claims Derek Ryan.
They have lost Derek Stepan for the season adding a veteran center would help

If they want to keep putting him on the Taxi Squad on off-days, he has to clear waivers after every 10 games played. He was injured in his 10th game, so this means they're ready to activate him from IR.

I understood the green text as him being sarcastic on ryan being a good player. And I interpreted it as a sarcastic “how can ryan be on waivers, I was told he’s a good player”
I’m saying he’s a good player and being on waivers only means roster moves/cap savings and has nothing to do with how good of a player he is.
Sorry if I misinterpreted it.
