Knee Injury

Well just to let anybody know if there interested former Stampeder Marc Boerigter injured his knee in a preseason game and possibly could be gone for the season. Which is too bad, cause a couple of weeks back, Dick Vermiel stated that Boerigter might have a chance at being a starter this year!

IR means he's done for the year, doesn't it? Once you're on the IR you can't play again that year (I think).

Enter Donte Hall.

Boerigter was going to be the third receiver...which is a starting slot in KC. He's a favorite at Arrowhead, but they love Hall more and they're going to get a big fat dose of Donte Hall because of Boerigter's injury.

Brutal news.

At some point I'd like to see Boerigter get more balls throw to him (I guess it will have to wait until next season). He has an amazing yard per catch average, and TD ratio, however he doesn't seem to get as many balls. Probably because KC has so many weapons. Hopefully he can come back next year and re-establish himself.

Honestly, none of Kansas City's wide receivers are very good. What Boerigter brought to the table is pretty replaceable. If they had much talent at wideout with Green, they'd be nasty on Offense.

In Boerigter's first year with the Chiefs, they only brought him into the game when they were in the redzone. He caught a lot of TD's in that first year.

If I am not mistakenhe was injured for most of last year so he didn't get any playing time. I guess the same is going to occur this year. It's really too bad, I like him a lot.
