Default Domain and hosting cost tripled... any deals out there?

Using go daddy and after 3 years, our domain and hosting has tripled from 33 a year to 100. Buying for longer renewal period (5 year) only seems to lessen the cost somewhat.

The association isn't going to be happy.

Was wondering if there were any deals to be had, or alternate hosting that I should look at?

Need to renew by middle of next month.

Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

I always buy my domains through netfirms.ca. They have fair prices.

As for hosting, I've had a really good experience for linux shared hosting so far with http://www.smallbudgethosting.com/sharedhosting.php

What features do you need from your host?

I haven't looked around for deals lately but I'll warn against using 1&1. One of my clients insisted on changing from Godaddy to 1&1 and they are generally a nightmare to deal with.

Been pretty happy with CrocWeb.

webhostingtalk.com usually has providers posting deals all the time.

EDIT: Digital Ocean has also been good if it's a VPS instead of shared type hosting.

I used Fatcow for my site (CFLhorsemen.ca).

Overall because I use their advanced site building tools and other things, its about $300 bucks a year for everything.

What do you need for hosting features? I use namespro.ca for my domains, never had any issues with them. For Windows/ASP.NET hosting, I use smarterasp.net.
