Merry Christmas and I'm thankful for all of you.
Merry Christmas
buon Natale
Fröhliche Weihnachten
joyeux Noėl
Glešileg jól for our Iclandic flames fan Thor
счастливого Рождества
To everyone here I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy hanukkah. I don't want to leave any religion out of this so I just want to wish every one of you a very merry holiday season and a wonderful new year.
Many of you know my story, I have had a very long journey in the last year with Three surgeries, unfaithful relationship and me leaving and living out of the car. With all of your help I was able to get into an apartment sooner, and get most of my furniture and everything else.
I look back on this last year as possibly the worst year of my life. But it was a blessing in disguise, found that I wasn't with the right woman, learn to treat my body better, and who your real friends are when things go bad.
My uncle that I haven't spoke to in ten years has opened back up to me, I will be spending Christmas with him in Ft. Myers. I meat the woman of my dreams and everything I could possibly dream of.
Yes I'm struggling with bills, Yes my neck is starting to bother me everyday again which I fear that I will have to have another surgery. But overall, everything is going well and a lot of it is thanks to such great people on Calgary Puck.
With that I wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas and hope you all are with the ones you love and cherish and a very good new year.
Ian

While I missed your misfortunes, you have my sympathies and feel free to PM me if there's anything I can do to help.
Glad to hear things are looking up and you're doing well. Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the holiday season.

Merry Christmas to the entire CP community. And what a great community it is.
I hope you all enjoy your holidays, and may you drink until you can't feel feelings anymore

And I don't mean that rudely. I am genuinely concerned that it comes up in many posts that I see. If it's a case of spending more than you make, are you spending it on wants instead of needs? Do you go for the latest shoes and suits, when your current ones could suffice? Do you keep weekly/monthly cash flow budgets? Can you stick to them? Do you buy large purchases on credit and worry about them later? Is it that the economy is not doing well and your hours got cut back? Is it past debt you are trying to pay off? Idon't need any specific details, as these issues should be dealt with in private with someone you trust. It's all about choices and priorities.
There are many people here, and available on the Internets, that can help put you on a path to financial success. Whether you make $10,000 per year or $1,000,000 per year, you need a plan. Many of these are tough at first, but once you stick to them for a few months, they become easier. They also make the future much easier and more enjoyable. There are many people with crippling debt that started off with a manageable amount of debt. If they had made better choices early, they wouldn't end up where they are. I'd rather that didn't happen to you.

A crushing cocaine habit.
... I mean, if I had to guess. Isn't that why we all are behind on bills?

I believe pimking already explained his situation in the other thread.
Multiple surgeries, job loss and live-in girlfriend complications. We all know how health care costs can escalate.

Just one thing after another, I'm broke but bills are paid kind of thing. License plates are due now and since I dont live in alabama anymore I have to get them in Florida and that's $380.00. Its stuff like that when you basically only have 300-400 extra a month to spend. I'm not going out to eat or having anything I cant live without. Just my income puts me in a level that I don't get help.
When I say struggling I am paying my bills, I'd rather be broke with my bills paid than broke and owe money.
Thankfully I paid the car off so I dont have to worry about that.
I haven't bought clothes, suits or shoes in a long time (probably almost two years) I went to a couple football games this year because I was given tickets to them. the only thing I went out and spent money on was concert tickets that were $20 a few months ago and the Flames vs Lightning tickets which was another $20.
I exhausted all my saving when I was hurt and trying to start over and saving is slow right now but its getting there.
Hopefully that makes sense
