Randy Sportak @SUNRandySportakWant to know why Orr was signed to AHL Heat? Take a gander at the enforcers in their division.

Definitely in favour of having a tough guy on the AHL team. Need someone there in case people get out of line. Only needed to protect the kids.

Well, if you're going to get a goon, Orr is one of the better ones to throw punches for you. Never been a fan but it's cool, i guess. Big Ern and him are going to have some tilts down in the AHL this year.

Methinks Burkie would have had something to do with this as well from his days in Toronto.

I know McGrattan will be on the Ducks farm team. Who else is in the division that's so scary?

So much fail.

Isn't McGrattan on the Ducks AHL farm team (which puts him in the same division as Stockton)?
Orr and McGrattan have been punching each other's heads since junior. Now they get to do it again at the tail end of their careers.

If this is needed, did we have a chance at mcgratton in this role? If so then this sucks. Grats got called up to dicks this week. That wasn't going to happen with flames.

My guess he doesn't know much about hockey other than looking at a stats page and jumping to a conclusion.

Always good to have some toughness to protect the young players. We don't want our gritty guys having to step up in weight and face other teams' heavies. With McGrattan I don't think he would pick on our kids or non fighters, he is not that type. Can't say the same for others in the division or league.
I always like to have two tougher players on our team. With us it's DE and Bollig although Bollig hasn't really won a fight in a while. Ferland is tough but we don't want him fighting too much but moreso play tough, hit and create scoring opportunities.
