				 McKenzie's top 75 2015 draft final rankings

perhaps the most anticipated draft rankings of the yearhttp://www.tsn.ca/mcdavid-tops-mcken...nking-1.296839
click on each name for analysis from Craig Button

perhaps the biggest surprise is that Ilya Samsanov is in the top 20. Oilers to take him at 16?

This is McKenzie's list that he compiled by sending surveys to NHL scouts

Button's final rankings are here: http://www.tsn.ca/talent/craig-s-lis...nking-1.294692

It's McKenzie's list with analysis from Craig Button.

Bob McKenzie's list isn't about him scouting a player, it's an aggregate from talking to teams and scouts. It's a good pulse of the draft but he's out not there watching players and making his own list. That's what Craig Button is doing, that's why Craig is the one doing the players bios.

Bob and Craig's lists go so well together. With Buttons you have have a true idea of how one individual could rank players and McKenzie's is a good idea how of a teams list could come together, many voices merged into one.

Surprised to see Zboril so far ahead of Chabot and Roy.

MacKenzie's lists are usually pretty accurate to the draft order, give take a few places, as these are composite rankings based on scout feedback. One thing I can see happening though is a few of the D jumping up, especially if the top 3 D go early. Around the #15 spot I like Merkley and Svechnikov the best. Meier or Rantanen dropping would be awesome, but I don't see it happening. Connor would also be good, but the two guys in that range (12-20) that I would be leery of would be White (safe pick, Flames now need upside picks) and Samsonov (Goalie depth is good, no need to go for one early)

I think by No 15, you usually have 2-3 players that will have risen and fallen past McKenzie's rankings. If the tier is at 11, then one of the next tier Meier, Conner or Rantanen will probably be avail.

Meier or Rantanen would be a home run for us. Conner Svechnikov or Merkley if neither of the euros fall to 15.

Interesting contrast with FC. They have Carlo in range of our 2nd rounders. Mackenzie's list has him in range of our first, and ahead of Chabot.

Scechnikov or Connor. I have a feeling with scouts always in Charlottetown watching McDonald, Svechnikov is the one.

I have a good feeling about Konecny. I doubt the Flames draft him but I think he's going to be a player.

Pretty much exactly how I feel. Rantanen and Meier are the pipe dreams, but Conner, Svechnikov and Merkley are the ones that I realistically think we should target unless we trade up.

Why would they call the article "McDavid tops TSN's final draft ranking"? That seems pretty obvious, and it doesn't seem like very good click-bait. They should have just called it "TSN's Final Draft Rankings".
I mainly just don't want to hear about McDavid.

These lists are interesting and useful for giving us ideas on who the Flames should draft in the second and third round. There does appear to be pretty good depth in the top 75.

This draft seems to be pretty balanced between forwards and defense.

Konecy has very little offense (according to the stats) for a top 15 pick and very small size. Would be pretty disappointed.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 28s28 seconds agoDon't know who EDM will take at 16 but did have multiple other scouts suggest EDM should be looking at RUS G Samsonov, No. 19 on our list.'

 Do it, Oilers.

Are you kidding? He had 70 points as a rookie and played very well internationally. What I love about this kid is his compete level, he never gives up. As he matures and gets into better shape he will be a force, I would be thrilled if we drafted him.
