Hopefully the Jets figure out a way to end the night with 0 points. Regulation game between Vancouver and Minny with Vancouver losing too please.

I hate these games, technically Minnesota losing would be better I think... but how can you possible hope for a Canucks win?

No three point game in Minny for the love of Christ. Tmrw is my birthday so I am invoking some damn luck here. Flames will win, Minny will win in reg, Edmonton pulls out an upset and TB kicks the hell out of the Kings.

Of the games that actually matter to us, here's the possible outcome:
- Oilers win over Jets
- Lightning win over Kings
- Wild win over Canucks

Obviously, all three (except the last one, see below) would be best if concluded in regulation time. Three-point games could be a real pain in the ass for us in the remaining stretch towards the playoffs.

If Minnesota wins, they have the same number of points as us, but will still be lower in the standings thanks to us having more Regulation & Overtime wins (ROW). If Vancouver wins (in regulation) and we win, we stay put because Vancouver will have more ROW than us.

In fact... now that I think about it, I think it might actually be to our benefit if the game ends in a shootout - preferably in favor of the Wild.

Minnesota gets two points, Vancouver only gets one, but neither team gets a ROW.

The extra point is way more likely to beat us than an extra ROW, I would have to think.

Hoping for edmonton to help in an OOT will lead to sadness. Just accept the free spot on the schedule and it makes it more tolerable.

Somebody must have talked to Yakupuv - he didn't slide across the ice doing somersaults after the goal - i had to double check to make sure I wasn't seeing things

I continue to wonder how the Jets have so many point.

Every time I watch them, they're no good.

But Gazdic took it and kept swinging. He has a head/chin like Domi had.

Oh yeah I think Gazdic is pretty decent fighter but he took a few solid shots shots.

Well, Jets are out shooting Edmonton a lot but 2 stupid mental lapses have wound up with a puck in back of our net. It happens.

how many bounced off of Gadzic's visor though?

he tucks his head and leads with the visor and doesn't take too many squarely.

Kind of silly watching the Jet ram Roy's head into the ice. Not sure why there wasn't a call there. Can't wait for the Flames game to start!

Yay Oilers for doing us a solid! That being said they'll probably just choke away the lead again.

Oilers winning against the Jets serves to help distance each team from their respective goals for the year ... so ... go Oilers, I guess?
