To be fair, that is the "long list" and likely he was thrown up there mainly due to all the media coverage.
But way to go Nenshi! I still can't believe how close he came to not winning the election back in the day. Remeber when it was a two horse race between Higgins and McIver? Then Nenshi came out of nowhere with like 10 days to go.

Just went to Ghent this summer. Beautiful city.
Fun Fact:
To celebrate a day when the King put a tax on liquor and students occupied the castle in protest, students now get free beer in the castle on that day. What an awesome holiday.
