Ferland won already, why are we voting again?
These run-offs are a waste of time and completely negate the value of the original vote.
A close race is fine - we already know they are about the same value as prospects, why vote twice just to re-discover that fact?

I don't know, 5 votes separating the top 3 guys deserves a 2nd tally, just to be sure. When the rest of the votes are asked to put a mark in one of these three boxes, something will likely change. Look at what happened with the goalie run off.

I think there's a forward bias, but glad to see a defenseman in the mix. I voted Knight because he has proven the most.
I don't really buy into the whole potential thing for guys at this stage.

Ferland (on really good pace in the ahl before injury), then Kulak (just turned pro, good offense in jr), then 3-4 spots after that, Knight (23 year old that had a good season but was over his head with the Flames and lacks high end skill).

These three deserve to be closely ranked for different reasons. I still have to go with Knight just because of the skill the guy has and the year he had coming out of college.
Compare his year to the likes of Hanowski and Jooris and it's all that more impressive.
Kulak and Ferland are both good prospects. I'm a huge fan of both, but until the prove more, I've gotta vote for Knight.

I changed my vote from Kulak to Ferland this time. Since Ferland was actually going to be called up when he got hurt persuaded me to vote for him.
Not sure why Knight is getting more votes than Ferland to be honest. Ferland was on pace for better production and he has the physical game that Knight will never have. Ferland is as close to a guaranteed NHLer at this point as you can get. It's just a matter of how good he will be.

Kills me how black and white people are on things like this. Then I have to come along and make a call that will insight a riot from 50% of the readers.
Guys its July 26th, time is on our side.
When three guys are tight, you run them off and see if you can find a winner. Looks like Knight may be that guy by early returns.

I went with Ferland.
Even though I question his upside, I think he is a little closer to making the roster than the other 2.

I don't know what skill you're talking about. Do you have any video evidence from his year in Abbotsford? I've yet to see that as a major strength in his game, although other aspects of his game are pretty good.

Going with Knight. He is the perfect third line center if he continues to progress as a pro. His defense and skill in the face off dot are strengths that will serve him well in the NHL.

Knight plays smart and simple. He reminds me a lot like a Conroy, or perhaps more of a Yelle. Either him or Arnold will likely be our 3rd/4th North/South centres who become PK specialists and shutdown guys.
Ferland is a good guy, but id like to some more tangible results. Let's start with a full season free of distractions before selecting him over a guy like Knight, Kulak, Aggo or Roy

Oh dude shut up, any idiot that judges a prospect off their first five to ten games shouldn't be calling anybody else out. Also pretty sure PMM has seen a lot more of Knight/Ferland than most anyone here and has Knight ahead. Trust me, your opinions on our prospects aren't any more educated then anyone elses.

Versus a whopping 32 games in the AHL?? Oh my mistake. Ferland was also the guy who had to be sent down to the ECHL the year prior, and then sent even further down to the WHL. And then was immediately traded!
So then he has 25 games shown he bounced back. Yeah, real nice sample size. His career was highly questionable before those 25 games, whereas Aggo has been solid through the NCAA and shown great jump with his little NHL ice time. Roy was also very highly ranked during his draft year but fell because of questions in his defensive game, which has since been coming along nicely
But I'm just as a casual fan...
