Okay guys it's here! Who is all doing it this year?
I got my stuff from movember for advertising that I'm going to put up at the hotel.
I also made a custom name tag for me this month

If you guys are actually raising money individually or on a team let me know. I'd like to make some donations (I like the tax breaks).

5th year running. My girlfriend hates my moustache, which makes it so much sweeter.
My only regret is not being manly enough to grow a legit m'stache within a few days. It will take me a week or two to look good.

Im still not sure about this name. Every time I hear it, i think it's about moving locations, or some sort of physical activity challenge. It needs a hyphen!

I've donated to some Mo's already, but just like last year I am rebelling against all these staches and growing the mutton chops again.

I was going to sign up until my wife started explaining the consequences (she hates facial hair) so I guess I'll settle for donating and supporting those who do participate.

I'm so weary from being hit over the head for cancer awareness and cancer cure/treatment fundraising. Month long awareness campaigns, more rides/walks/runs than you can shake a stick at, each body part with it's own viral awareness campaign with a clever gimmick or cute name.
I'm ####ing sick of cancer. Good for those of you getting involved and raising funds, I hope the money finds a cure along with better treatment and hugs and tears and video montages along the way. Could you all just be less in your face obnoxious about it? Could people who have been touched by it and torn apart by it and had friends or family members taken by it just have a quiet place to not be reminded of cancer, even for five minutes?
No. I know that won't happen. But you can't blame a guy for wishing.

How do you feel with cancer fundraisers at the Stampede?
Not sure how anyone here is being obnoxious... I actually get tired about hearing about it all the time too. Mostly cause I worry about how eliminating cancer will affect overpopulation, which is easily the world's biggest problem. Guess what, people die. Yeah it's sad, yeah it can be tragic, but that's life. We need death. I could argue, right now, we need cancer.
But I fail to see why you'd be angry at the relative fun and so far low key nature of this thread. People just having some fun with facial hair bro.

well this is for men, and it's so quiet compared to everything in the Breast cancer month where all the NFL puts on pink. even Madden 25 has 7901379583675 lines in the october games about breast cancer awareness.
Us men need to be heard

I wasn't intending to single out anyone here with my obnoxious remark. It was directed at the machinery that churns out neverending cancer awareness and fundraising stuff.
I hope the people here on CP who participate in Movember have fun with it. I just needed to vent.

Third year growing the cookie duster. I always tell people, I can't run a 5k, I can't bike 200km in 2 days but I can grow a creepy stache and raise funds that way. It's the perfect awareness and fund raising campaign for a guy like me.

I know for me the issue with these awareness campaigns is that they've all become noise since social media came along. It's unfortunate, because social media made it easier to spread messages and promote awareness, but in some ways I think it's having the opposite affect that it should.
Now there's cancer awareness everything, shoved in your face every few weeks. Before this happened my reaction to awareness campaigns used to be "Oh, a cancer awareness campaign, I've been affected by it, yes of course I'll donate". Now it's more like "Oh a cancer awareness campaign, this is the third time I've been asked to donate this month, it's kind of lost it's meaningfulness to me".
