Curt Schilling Liquidation
It's no secret Schilling lost all his money on his video game venture, now it looks like his assets have been seized. Everything from furniture to clothes to kids toys and DVD's being sold. Credit to the O and A show for this find.

The guy was an absolute loser and the most arrogant person I have ever had the displeasure of rooting for. He owes all of his success to Randy Johnson anyway, without him he never would have won the World Series in 2001.
People hate him in Boston for what he did right after the WS win in 2004. As far as I'm concerned, he can sleep outside in the cold. Idiots like this who make stupid political statements like he has deserve what they get. Maybe he can phone up his buddy George W Bush and see if he has a nice warm bed for him? The guy is a scam artist and tried to rip off the state of Rhode Island. What a bum.

Rant and rave to anyone who will listen about how horrible the government is for trying to help the unemployed, the working poor, single parents, etc. Then take a $75 million dollar government handout, squander it, default on the loan and never pay it back.
Sounds about typical for a conservative blowhard: "Welfare for anyone (who isn't me) is wrong!!"

I agree that he's as arrogant as they come, but I'm not familiar with what he did after the WS win (THE sock I'm assuming), or his statement, or what he did in Rhode Island. What was all that about?

I'm surprised there isn't plastic on the coach. Only my grandmother had similar taste. It's like he went for a Thanksgiving theme.

Being an avid MMO player, I kinda followed his story for a little while.
He basically got a huge government loan to start (or move?) his gaming studio to Rhode Island, on the order of 50-75 million dollars.
Hired a ton of people, and basically bit off far more than he could chew in trying to develop a huge MMO to compete with World of Warcraft or Star Wars. For those that don't know, A-list MMO's like that cost 100 million+ to make from a highly experienced team (and not a team led by someone with no game development experience), and have a small chance of success.
He really squandered his money - employees were saying that he would give out laptops as christmas gifts, lavish benefits, which is great and all, but his management was extremely poor. He basically ran out of money to service his debts and went bankrupt from there.

How did he end up losing all his personal assets and money? I guess it was a result of the lawsuit against him alleging misconduct and fraud? http://www.boston.com/businessupdate...cXL/story.html

Other than the baby grand, there is very little in there that I would take if they put in out on the front lawn with a "FREE" sign.
