Just seen on EA's Facebook page that the first NHL 14 announcement will come on April 15. Apparently there will be a trailer, a release date, and a discussion of some new features. Also, the first screen shot will be released tomorrow (which usually includes some hints as to what the new features will be). Should be exciting! What are you guys hoping for?

I'd like to see them revolutionize the industry be releasing it at $39.99 or less. It's not worth 60 bucks a year to get a new roster.

Other than that I'm not good enough to critique the finer points of the game, but the poke checking is a bit excessive and the CPU goaltending is too good.

Really? I loved NHL 13, the new skating engine really improved the game by a mile in my opinion

I'd like to see less focus on fluff features (such as Legend teams or whatever the hell) and spend more time on fixing the broken-ass core features.

The new skating engine is as good as eating a peanut butter sandwich with exposed lead batteries, it just doesn't work.

EA seems to think that an NHL skater can't do a forward/backward skating transition without taking 3 seconds and that most players turning circles are half the width of the ice rink.

The new skating engine is complete trash. The physics engine is garbage too, but it is at least so broken that it has become hilarious to see the hits that EA thinks obey the laws of physics.

Oh yeah, and online Team Play is completely broken. Why do I want to start out as a 54 overall? You literally can't do anything because you're so crappy.

might be minor to some, but I for my part would like to see them include more leagues ... the USHL and ECHL for example. NCAA would be awesome.

Be a Pro and Be a GM need more details and go a lot deeper.

New commentators would be nice, maybe Cuthbert as Ozy_Flame suggested.

Other than that, just work on AI.

I'm interested in seeing the PS4 version of this game...which I doubt they'll show (but I really hope it exists).

If it doesn't blow my mind, then I won't blow my money on it. I only buy the newest one every three years, otherwise I feel that they fail to live up to my expectations. If it turns out to be better than expected, then I might grab a copy.

I want new announcers, and Canadian ones. Like Bob Cole or Chris Cuthbert. Not the guys from NBC.

Dont expect any changes for this generation. Until the next gen systems are out they wont spend the money on the game to change it as it needs to be changed. For that reason it should be sold at a price around 40 or so.

170 EA employees were fired in Montreal today. With the way they're cutting costs, I don't have a lot of expectations for the game this year.

Probably not going to bother this year. 5 years of essentially the same Be a GM mode... Yeah I'm bored of it. Less crappy features, focus on improving what's there. But they won't. And will probably be a crappy cross-gen game that's still $60.
