First Flames team game without Iginla in 16 years.
There has been games where he wasn't on the ice, but not off the team. I wonder if HD had any difficulty choosing pictures without the former captain.

Needed this game to happen.. it's hard to move past it until we start playing games. So this should be good for everyone.
Who's going to challenge for the captaincy now? Let it begin.
I want to see the current team be successful without Iggy, but we could really use a few guys named Seth, Nathan and Jonathan even more so. I would love for us to meet Iginla in the finals though. How crazy that would be...

Did we get the easiest schedule in the NHL because Edwards was riding shotgun for Bettman throughout the lockout? Imagine if teams coming in here didn't play in Vancouver or Edmonton the night before - we would have a top 2 pick locked up already.
