Default Lost Clicker for Remote Starter

I bought a new (used) car (trailblazer) and it was missing the clicker for the aftermarket remote starter. I've never had this problem, so I have no idea who to ask about this.
Can I get a replacement clicker? Where? How do I program it?
Go ahead and point to a LMGTFY link, but I already did, and all I got was a bunch of crap. I'd like to know what to do, here in Calgary, about my aftermarket starter. Hopefully it's salvageable.

I would think if you went to an independent installer of car starters they would be able to do something, you likely are not the first person to have this issue

Have you checked the glove box for any instruction/manual that might tell you what brand of starter your looking for? That would be where I start anyways. Otherwise I just got one installed a week ago that was compatible with a previous starter brain and it cost around 200 for a new antenna and remot

Damn. $200.
I'm hoping someone here knows of a shop that does installs and has spares for $20 or $40 or something.

I have a spare for a Computerstar and another for a powerstart. Find out what you have and I will give you one for a case of beer or something if it will work for you.

It is defiantly replaceable but at what cost is unknown until the make and model is determined. If it is a two way look towards the $100 mark for a replacement remote and if it's a one way your hope is more on track. I personally would hope it's a two way. Ya you pay more for the remote but you get better range and confirmation that the vehicle is running. Programming can take a few minutes but typically isn't to bad. I could take a look at it for you to see what kind of brand it is and may even have the remote in my "tickle trunk" of miscellaneous spare install parts.

My gf had to get a new one when her purse got stollen.

I think it was 150-200 for the remote and the programming. I can grab the name for you if that's an option- the shop she went to was extremely friendly and very quick at getting it taken care of.

there is a place in the NE not far from JayCee Park (I can't find them on the net right now) - I have been there twice, they took care of my issues
